Your Questions Answered

Can my tattoo be treated?
Yes, a majority of all tattoos can be treated and successfully removed with the laser used by Lasercare Tattoo Removal. Certain pigments are more difficult to eliminate (blues and greens) however, what really sets Lasercare apart from other tattoo removal clinics is our ability to treat and remove a full spectrum of colors with fewer treatments and less adverse effects.   With time and proper laser treatments, even the most difficult colors respond  to our treatments.

Will it hurt?
Pain tolerance differs from person to person. Laser tattoo removal can sting a bit and feels like an elastic band being snapped against your skin. If you were able to receive the tattoo in the first place, you will have no problem getting it removed. In addition, we use the Zimmer Cyro 6 cooling machine to numb the skin and dull the pain prior to any treatment.

How many laser tattoo removal treatments will I need?
The best answer to this question is “it depends.” The total number of treatments needed on your tattoo depends on  its size, color, ink density, location on your body, the strength of your immune system, and your overall health. Based on our experience, we can often remove an amateur tattoo in as little as 1 or 2 treatments. A professional, multi-colored tattoo may need between 6 and 12 treatments. During your free consultation, we will discuss and estimate how many treatments will be necessary to remove your tattoo.

How long will a treatment take?
Tattoo removal treatments are quick and typically only take a few minutes to complete.

How much healing time should I expect?
At Lasercare Tattoo Removal, we only use the latest laser technology which allows for minimal healing time. After a treatment you may have swelling or redness for about 24-72 hours after the procedure. The treated area will feel like a sunburn.

What kind of aftercare can I expect?
To keep your tattoo protected between treatments, keep it dry and out of the sun. Do not bandage the tattoo and stay away from regular or spray tanning.  Unlike other tattoo removal lasers which require up to eight weeks of caring for an open wound, Lasercare Tattoo Removal’s laser will allow you to go about your normal activities.

How long do I have to wait between treatments?
Since healing time isn’t a factor, treatments can be as little as two weeks apart, or as long as eight weeks.  If your goal is to remove your tattoo as quickly as possible, treatments closer together can speed up the process.  If saving money is you primary goal, you can wait longer between treatments which will result in having fewer treatments. At your consultation, we will establish a personalized treatment plan to help you get the results you want.

Why is Lasercare’s laser better than any other in use?
Lasercare Tattoo Removal operates the only 3 true wavelength Q-switched laser currently available in the world, the Quanta Q-Plus C. This laser has the capability to remove all colors, while delivering more power with less adverse side effects. An important characteristic of Quanta’s laser is its square beam distribution which allows the energy of the laser to be evenly distributed in the tissue, resulting in no hot spots and twice the energy to break up your tattoo without damaging your skin.  The Quanta Q-
Plus C laser is the only FDA approved tattoo removal laser, and you can be confident that you are receiving the very best treatment available today.
